Another 3-D Design (a class that seriously made me work a lot! But I think it was worth it.) project. The assignment was to use bristol board (or something like it, like business card paper) and make a light fixture out of it, using a similar technique to what we did with the spatial cells project. (refer to my last deviation)
I must say, this is probably my favorite project out of everything we did in that class. I'm happy with the outcome of it, though I wish I could've made it a bit bigger. The origin of the name of it is because my teacher (and a few other people) said it looked kinda like a pineapple. And I wanted to incorporate stars into it, so when fruit and stars come together, they make, Starfruit! Cheesy, i know, but whatever. I can't make names.
A side thing we were allowed to do with it was we could look for places in Philly that had shop windows and ask if we were allowed to put it up in the window to watch public interaction for about an hour or so. Some things suggested were cafes and such, and I found a nice little furniture/housing stuff store with some really nice people to let me put it into their window. I also tried asking bigger furniture stores and even Tiffany's (jewelery!), but of course, that wasn't successful. But I enjoyed the experience.
Sadly though, I brought it home one weekend, and the next time I came back, I found out my baby cousins ripped it up... T_T I was quite upset and distraught... But of course... I can't do anything about it... Unless it's make another one, which is something I probably will do again one day when I have the time. Good thing I have documentation though.
HAWT. Ebil cousins. I WILL DESTROY THEM. Because such destruction is unappreciated on my part. Anyways, 'tis a masterpiece.... I also want one of these.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
